Training and vocation

Training centres

Centres, and a consortium of institutions and teachers, for technical and vocational skill.

The foundation may establish, operate, and manage training centres, and it may bring together a consortium of institutions and individuals who teach.

A centre is a place. The consortium is the wider circle — colleges, teachers, and practitioners — who can teach with the foundation when a single campus cannot reach everyone. The company’s object allows either form, and both, because the purpose is the teaching rather than the ownership of a building.

What the teaching covers

  • Technical education
  • Vocational training
  • Professional skill development

Training is tied to the first object. A centre or a consortium earns its place when it widens who can learn a technical or vocational skill, including people who are not already enrolled in a well-funded programme.

Institutions that want to teach as part of that consortium, rather than wait for a centre of the foundation’s own, should start with collaboration .
